From 2001, I lived in Australia for 11 years.
After completing business school and graduate studies in Sydney, I worked for 5 years at an Australian accounting firm.
My responsibilities included tax strategies and compliance involving financial and management accounting, cash flow monitoring, and Superannuation (pension) within the client portfolio.
In 2012, I returned to Japan and worked for 7 years in global finance at a major advertising agency.
My role primarily involved acting as a liaison and support between top executives, departments, and professionals, as well as engaging in Japan-U.S. joint venture negotiations and project management.
My duties included:
・Acting as a liaison and negotiator with expatriates, HR, IT, accounting, sales, legal departments, and parent companies in Japan and the U.S.
・Financial, management, and tax accounting, including reporting to the Japan-U.S. parent companies
・Negotiating and establishing joint ventures between Japan and the U.S., including corporate setup, and understanding ＆ revising Japanese-English contracts
・Conducting on site internal audits for overseas subsidiaries
・Attending and participating in shareholders' meetings and board of directors' meetings
I resigned in 2018 and started my own business.
